    The next few weeks...

are gonna be crazy! I have class works and papers and tests and works and getting ready for Thanksgiving and signing up for Spring classes. Ah! *explodes*

I'll get through it. Once I hit Christmas Break I'll be good. For now at least. So I'm sitting here eating some easy mac that i bought and drinking kool-aid feeling suddenly like a small child again. course then I'm listening to RBF which isn't really a little child music. YAY SKA! Well kinda ska. yes. I guess.

So yesterday I bought a translation of the Koran and I'm planning on reading it. I've been meaning to do this for awhile but I just haven't gotten around to it. I figure that since Islam and is linked to terrorism which is a huge topic today and it seems that a lot of Americans know nothing of the religion or what the Koran so I figure that by reading it I may be able to just not rely on those people who say they know what they're talking about when they don't. Also, Islam has always interested me. Ever since in World Civ in High school when we compared and contrasted Judaism, Chiristianity, and Islam. Every interesting. I'll report back after I'm done with it on what I thought of it.

Right now I'm wasting time before I have to go to work at 4:45. blargh. I really need to tell one of my managers at least that I can't keep working both Sat and Sun every weekend because I am a college student and I do need more weekends to do homework and catch up. It's hard for me to do homework before work since the time I go to work on the weekends are the time that I would just want to start doing homework. Ah work. I could rant about that place for a very long time but I won't just to save time.

I'm trying SO hard to eat more healthy...which I am but I'm not getting my fruit and veggies much even though I have some in the kitchen. I just forget about them till around the time it's time for bed and I'm all like "ARGH! I should have eaten those today" yeah it's frustrating. Also work hasn't helped my eating habits. not like school helps either. M,W,F I don't eat lunch till 3 PM and then when I work I don't eat "supper" till after work which could be from 10-11 PM. Then I end up going to bed and so all that food stays in my stomach and doesn't do anything for me. But I'm trying and I'm gonna keep trying. At least now that I'm not at Hesston I don't eat as much as I used too. I only eat when I'm hungry usually unless I'm feeling down then I tend to eat more often but that's only sometimes.

Yeah. Well. That's life right now for me. Work, School, Study, Sleep or try too, Have no social life. YAY! sounds fun! hehe. right. Oh wells. I'm enjoying life right now no matter what.

    Konbanwa!

Since I don't enjoy updating about my life much I will put random facts for today that I found in my new  The Best of Uncle John's Bathroom Reader nicely bought by my dearest sister, Heather! Huzzah!

If a frog keeps its mouth open too long, it will suffocate.

The average bra is designed to last for only 180 days of use.

The world's termites outweigh the world's humans 10 to 1.

Shoplifters take the most stuff between 3 PM and 6 PM on Friday and Sunday.

People who work at night tend to weight more than people who don't.

More collect calls are made on Father's Day than on any other day of the year.

Placed end to end, the bad checks Americans write in one year would stretch 35,500 miles.

The top 6 reasons for being late to work:
    1. Traffic
    2. Oversleeping
    3. Procrastination
    4. Household Chores
    5. Car Problems
    6. Having Sex

Lastly but not least a restroom fact for all of us to consider:

The first stall is usually the cleanest. Most people, seeking privacy, skip it.

  • Exciting - ness!

Oh my goodness. So I went today to apply at Red Lobster for a dishwashing job that I saw in the college newspaper. So I sat at a booth by the door and filled it out. Afterwards I got up and someone asked me if that's an application and I was like "yeah" and handed it to him. We then sat down together and I suppose I had my "interview" for the job. He then said "well if you can come here Monday at 4:00 then I'll hire you and you'll go through orientation." O.O! I was like "okay!" Goodness I don't ever remember being this excited to have a job...even though it's a dishwashing job and I swore after Hesston that I would never have one again. But hey...a job is a job no matter what it looks like! I'll be making $7.00/hr which is more than I put down to accept..I hate it when they ask that because I don't know how much people make there so I put the federal minimum wage just to be safe. I'll be working 3-4 days a week too. ah. excitement!

I want to celebrate but I'm not sure how! But I do know that I have to go to Old Navy and get some new clothes since I forgot I don't have any black pants here with me and if I brought my white button up short sleeve shirts they probably don't fit or are just gross to look at. because that's what happens to old white shirts of mine.

I think this weekend I will be going up to Hesston...Nicole is going up there for a concert and I asked if I could ride along and go to the college to visit my friends! That'll be part of my celebration. Ah! Life just seemed so great and I wondered a few days ago why I felt like this was going to be a good week. Hehe. Hooray!

I'll probably be happy the rest of the day then simmer down tomorrow when I go to my mega class day!

Konichi wa! (good afternoon) and Sayoonara!

Start of a new school year

I finally finished my classes for today and made myself lunch...at 3 PM.

    Let me review my day.

I got up this morning a couple of hours before I should leave just to make sure I was ready. I do that kind of thing. I rechecked where the buildings were for my classes and where the bus stop was at near me. I took my sister's advice and decided that it was really hot and rode The Bus for the first time. It was "exciting". I got off early ish so I could find my building. Finally I found the Classroom Building...which just has a lot of classrooms in it. Find the room number and walk into my first day of Elem. Japanese I at 9:30 AM. That class rocked...I shall say. I'm hoping to learn Japanese or at least see if I can learn the language.

After that I had an hour till my next class started. Since I left somethings in the apartment that I needed I caught another Bus and found myself back at Peterson Hall where I stayed for like five minutes and went back out to the bus stop. Hehe. Silly me...really. Next class was Shakespeare in the Engineering North building...which I find kind of odd. Reaching the building I first realized that I had to walk 4 flights of stairs up to get to the classroom. Exhausting! That class rocked and the prof. really just showed how you NEED Shakespeare no matter what your major and that you are only educated if you study him. He rocked!

Then I had to rush over to Morrill Hall in 10 minutes for my Lit Theory and Crit which was thought to be Literature of Women for a second. That class was mostly interesting. I got a bit distracted and zoned out which made me upset with myself. It was getting near lunch time and I was getting hungry.

But to my sadness I had to stay in that room for the next class. Survey of Brit Lit 2. The prof. was very interesting and made his points direct which I liked. It may be a bit hard but oh well. So that got over at 2:30 PM and then I waited at the bus stop for a bus and rode it back home.

After all of that I was starving and made some rice with tuna that I'm eating now. My stomach loves me again. I realize how much reading I'm going to have to do this semester but I guess that's given with an English major. Now all I have to do is find a job then I will be VERY busy. =D

For now I'll enjoy my freedom after school and listen to Reel Big Fish. And eat. Before I die of starvation.

    Go Education! (I guess).
